Restorations

The mouth is a harsh place.

Our teeth are under constant pressure and can be worn down, chipped or cracked from chewing, grinding or clenching. Their mineral structure can also be dissolved by acid-producing bacteria (decay) causing cavities which can progress to the nerve and cause toothache without intervention.

At Eyre Dental, we offer a wide range of filling options, from direct tooth-coloured fillings with composite resin or glass isonomer cement to indirect ceramic inlays and onlays. Suitability of each options will be recommended based on the type and location of the filling and the amount of remaining tooth structure.

Should the tooth cavity be extensive, there may not be enough tooth structure remaining to support a replacement filling. In these cases, your dentist may need to place a crown.

*Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
