Dental Health Week 2022: Love your teeth!
Dental Health Week is an annual initiative led by the Australian Dental Association recognising and raising awareness around the importance of good oral health.
We are joining the Australian Dental Association to highlight the importance of preventive oral health care to encourage Australians of all ages to care for their teeth and gums so you can keep your teeth and smile for life!
We want to help educate Australians and reinforce the key basics to get your oral health in tip-top shape and avoid the burden of oral disease. Good oral health begins with these simple dental care habits:
- Brush teeth twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste
- Clean between your teeth using floss once a day
- Eat a healthy, balanced diet with limited added sugar
- Visit the dentist regularly (every 6 months for a check-up and clean)
Good oral hygiene doesn’t take long and incorporating these simple steps into your routine will prevent a lifetime of suffering from oral disease and instead ensure a long lasting, happy and healthy smile.
